Hi, My early xmas present was a Fagor Duo set. I have never used a PC before. So far I have only cooked beans in it. I did not presoak them either. I did a "quick soak". To do this let the pressure build up and let it cook under this pressure for 2 minutes. Drain the water and add fresh water and cook under pressure for 15 minutes. The beans came out fantastic!! The entire process took less than 30 minutes. I thought the Fagor was very easy to use and straight forward. HTH,
