It has frequently been said on this site that the KR is the Cadillac of pressure cookers.
I drive a Corolla.
When I bought my car I looked at the way I drive, I considered the features I wanted, I decided which were must/should/nice to have, then compared that information to what was available. I'm very happy with my car, it does what I want, it has been reliable, and I'll keep it until the maintenance exceeds the cost of replacing it. Which will be a very long time.
If the car meets my needs, it doesn't matter to me if someone else thinks it's inferior.
Likewise my pressure cooker. A new pressure cooker was on my "buy sometime" list. I saw a Fagor set -- 4qt, 7qt, 1 pressure lid, 1 glass lid -- at half off: $65. I snatched it up! It had all the features I wanted, and the price was excellent. Since then I have added the 2.5qt "pressure skillet." As I cook for 1, that's the one I use most often.
I'm thrilled with them. They're easy to use, easy to clean, safe, stainless steel -- it meets my needs, so why worry that someone else thinks there's something better out there?
And the Fagor Duo line has adjustable pressure.
Flo
