The Duromatic is made by Kuhn Rikon. :-) If your pressure cooker isn't second generation, upgrading to a new one is a great idea. These K-R's are amazing. They are beautiful to look at, super high quality, and easy to use. I highly recommend them. They're a little pricey, but you can usually find someplace with a sale and they'll last forever.
