I bought a Mantra thinking that, what the hell, for the price, it can't be beat, (I also have a Presto 01362 at my primary residence and have never had a problem with it.) Boy! Was I wrong. This Mantra is the worst thing in pressure cooking. I'm getting to the point that I don't use it because I can't trust it. The ring won't seal at times and I have to cool it down and reset it. Then the mechanism that locks and releases the lid is very difficult to use. When cooling the cooker in the sink like I can do with the Presto, it occasionally blows heaps of water out the sides beneath the seal. Now, after just three month's use, I'm looking for repair parts because the cheap material the presser release area is made of is breaking up and won't allow the pressue release to work properly.
