I use a Presto PC. I cook any kind of beans (red, white, bean-medley (pre mixed)with (NO presoaking) in 30 min, plus 5 - 7 min, natural decompressions, (no cooling off, under the tap). I use approx 1/2 gallon of water, plus (chopped parsley, chives, seasonings, chicken soup base) for 4 cups of dry beans. After cool off, add chopped celery and carrots, reheat, cook for 2 minutes under pressure, and quick chill. (if you forget, no big problem, carrots and celery will be a bit softer). Works every time. From start to finish within one hour. For a soup with more body, add 2 medium size diced potatoes at the beginning. They will be mostly mush, giving the soup/stew, this "stick it to the ribs" taste. aaron
