Subject: PC noob questions

I'm new to PC's, and have been reading some of the info on this board. Still have some questions though.

I was initially on the fence between a crock-pot and a pressure cooker, but I'm leaning more towards the PC. My initial understanding is that you can cook things faster in a PC, while a crock-pot gets all the ingredients thrown in and then cooks all day. Since I'm not going to be cooking any meat, I'm not sure if there are any advantages to cooking vegetables all day.

I was looking at PC's at Amazon, specifically a Kuhn Rikon 7-Liter Stainless Steel model. It sounds like it's sort of complicated though, with your needing to watch it and adjust the heat according to the "red lines" and the pressure level. Does anybody have this model? Is it a problem, or is it easy to get used to?
