Fagor pressure cookers are a variant of first generation pressure cookers. The only indication of when you are at cooking pressure is
the sound of steam being released, i.e. no visual indication that the
pressure cooker is at pressure. Kuhn's give a visual indication
that let you know when you are at pressure, over pressure and under pressure. Given the choice I would take the Kuhn if only for this reason. I had a tfal that has a pressure regulating mechanism similar to Fagors and found it difficult to learn how to regulate temperature to maintain pressure, with the visual indication it is very easy.

Whatever you get, before actually cooking something, try it with water only until you get accustomed to how it works. This is a safety issue.

Good Luck, and best wishes on your upcoming wedding.

Bob
