I just read some information from pleasanthillgrain.com. They have the KR 7L Turn Top Cooker for $179 with free shipping and no tax (for me), and 2 cookbooks included.

Here's what it says:

New Kuhn Rikon line: These new Kuhn Rikon "Turn Top" pressure cookers are identical in size and construction to the cookers listed immediately above, except that they have a different pressure relief valve. With most Kuhn Rikon pressure cookers, pressure can be released by pressing and holding the stem down at the peak of the lid. The valve at the top of these "Turn Top" models can be twisted, then let go of, to release pressure until the valve is turned back to the normal closed position.

My question is this: So this is not like the Fissler? The Fissler has an AUTOMATIC secondary valve? Maybe I am not even comparing the same thing. I've never owned or used one...only seen a picture!

I am trying to decide between the Fissler and the KR Top Model. I know I want a 7 or 8L.

Thanks,

Goldie
