Here's how I cook steel cut oats: spray bottom lightly with non-stick spray (totally optional) Here's what I do with oats to prevent foaming - I bring the oats to a boil before putting the top on. Once the pot is boiling, I put the top on, and bring to pressure (which is very fast). Once you're at high pressure, lower the heat to low, and cook for five minutes. Remove from stove after time goes off and allow pressure to come down naturally.
