PC's are pretty easy to clean up. After use I usually put some water in, place the lid on and let it soak for awhile. After it has soaked enough it is easy to clean with a plastic scrubber. It is also beneficial to remove the gasket from the lid, rinse it and clean any food residue from the inside of the lid. Bits of food stuck either on the gasket or inside of the lid can cause leakage of steam.

If you have problems with foaming it is necessary to clean valve assemblies. To prevent foaming, check out some of my posts down the board. If the problem does occur, it is easy to totally eliminate it without the use of any oil or other additives.

Also, when you purchase a pc, some have a built in automatic valve which prevents clogging of valves. I believe that Fagor pc's have this valve and I know that Fisslers all have this valve. Fagors are much less expensive than Fisslers.

Check out Eurostoves at: (they have the widest selection of pc's that I have seen on the internet)
