Subject: It's time!

I was intrigued with pressure cooking and bought a pressure cooker about a year ago. Well, the intimidation of the unknown appliance took over and I haven't used it! So, I have a couple of days off and now want to try it. I've been reading posts for tips, but my PC didn't come with trivets, inserts, steamer, etc.nor do I have a heat diffuser. I have an electric stove. I have a Lagostina PC. Has anyone ever used this model.

Any tips on where I should start (recipes - preferably kid-friendly). I have Lorna Sass' Great Vegetarian Cooking Under Pressure).
