Awfully late for me to be responding...but anyhow...

I adore Star Trek. I grew up with TNG and then DS9--loved them both and now own them on DVD.

I was so excited about Enterprise--what an amazing opportunity for a rich and wonderful series as to highlight the first warp ship??

My how they blew it!! Enterprise is generally total trash. Poor writing, poor acting (especiall by the guy who plays Travis--can't they honorably kill him off or something? I've seen kids in high school plays that are better actors than this guy!!), poor editing, poor camera work--they haven't gotten anything right! The episodes are choppy, pointless, and seem to echo episodes of TNG and DS9. It's as though some high school film buffs were playing at making a tv show. Where have the deep, thought-provoking, and ethical episodes gone??? And it is so obvious that they care only about their "male 20-30 year old" audience--this started with Voyager's casting of Jeri Ryan as the scantily clad borg woman. They've gotten so desperate--they fill these new series with bad actors and large breasted women--those of us fans who are, like me, female, are no longer thought of at all by the writers. They have sunken to levels that they believe will catch an uneducated male audience. That's all. After the completely idiotic movie "Nemesis" and this brain-dead Enterprise--I fear that the Star Trek most of us love is completely dead.
