Subject:	I need a Vegan Pen-Pal

Hi there,

I'm looking for a vegan pen-pal and came across this site. I'm 28 and I just became a vegan in November '09, after being a strict vegetarian since I was 13. I'd like to correspond by email.

So here's a bit of my story: I grew up on a small farm in Canada, and my parents raised cows, chickens, and other animals. From a young age I was exposed to the awful realities of farm life, and so many years later I'm still struggling with those memories. I escaped the farm after high school and I've been living in the city for 11 years now. But it's tough being vegan or a vegetarian in the particular area of Canada I live in. So I ended up marrying an omnivore - I've never met a vegetarian or vegan guy. My husband is...tolerant of my vegan lifestyle, but he really doesn't want to talk about it. Since going vegan, I've been feeling incredibly isolated.
