I know the ps doesn't read the reams of paper I've had to fill out for them, other places like community activities or camps don't either. Sometimes they will consult the papers if they need info off them, but usually not. They ask, or give another paper to fill out.

Any issues have to be discussed individually with everyone who might be involved, for any hope that they will know about them.

My guess is the teacher doesn't care what you send for your daughters lunch but doesn't want to have to make her an alternative lunch individually, and/or figure out what to offer unless she has to. She probably has either a menu or nutritional guidelines she has to follow and not much choice in what she does with it. Schools don't have to make the kids eat but they do have to offer the quote/unquote balanced menu.

I'm sorry you learned all this the hard way, but I don't think it is lawsuit material.
