IMO, I never rely on someone else to provide healthy food for my children. My 5yo daughter goes to preschool and I always make sure she has a healthy snack in her backpack just in case the treat provided has cheese/dairy or other foods that we don't eat. When she goes to school, I will make & send her lunches...IMO, the average school meals these day are worth eating.
I understand why you're upset about your daughter not getting food, but honestly, what did you expect them to give her? The majority of the country firmly believes that you need meat & dairy in your diet in order to be healthy and by avoiding these foods, they probably think that our children are 'neglected' (which we know is completely untrue)...which is why I will never trust them to offer the types of food that I would be happy with her eating. I think discrimation charges are a little over the top, but that's just my opinion.
