Subject:         No soy and enough protein in pregnancy?

is this possible to do? I am not currently pregnant (as far as I know *smile*), but I am slowly changing my eating to vegan and I am concerned @ protein anyways, but what about when and if I get pregnant?

I really try to avoid soy for personal preferences, so I am stumped. I do eat grains, beans and some whole wheat bread and crackers such as kashi tlc in additon to veggies and fruits. I might add in some nuts and seeds to boost fat and protien there, but I know that isn't much.

I was looking around online and saw rice protein powder, which I know zero about. I also do like rice milk and was thinking of smoothies using that to help with calcium.

I appreciate any help!

Thanks,
Jean
