he was dry through the night since age one. but at three, he still wouldnt poop in the potty, he was wearing pull ups. he knew all about the potty, peed in it always, but didnt want to poop in it. i figured out that he didnt want to take the time from whatever he was playing at the time, so if i saw him playing and then pooping in his pull ups, i would clean him up and put him in time out, and explain that the time out kept him from what he was playing longer than it would have taken to go poo in the potty. this really worked.
