Subject:	what to call mock meats

My daughter is 3 and we are vegan.. we do eat some meat substitutes like veg "beef" strips and stuff. We don't want to call it veggie beef or whatever, because I don't want her to have someone offer her "beef" somewhere, not knowing she is vegan, and have her think it is ok to eat. What do you all call it? Do we call it protein? Like, last night we had mock beef tips, and I found myself saying "eat your vegan beef" but I think we need a different word. We obviously know to tell people if she is going somewhere that she is vegan, but you never know if she is at a birthday party or something and someone may unknowingly give her an animal product.

Anyway, I digress.. what do you refer to your protein as? Thanks!
