| Subject: | How do deal with awful school board? |
|
Date: | June 9, 2009 at 12:34 pm PST |
My daughter is a senior in high school. She's never gotten very good grades, but she's also never failed a class. That is, until her last semester of school.
Dealing with the school board has become impossible, and I'm not sure how to handle it or what to do. Our school board is made up of a head that has no listed contact info anywhere that I can find, then regional officers. Our regional officer is the meanest person i've ever tried to deal with.
First off..since my daughter failed, she isnt allowed to walk graduation with her class. I was told that was IT..end of story, until I emailed the newspaper asking them to do a story on why summer school kids never have a formal graduation. THEN, hubby is emailed (not me, I'm not even cc'd in this email), saying that summer school does have a graduation...Later(no details provided).
Next, I'd like an independent grading on her final since we were told she had a C going into it. (the school board witch says we were informed many times that our daughter was failing and never mentions the fact that we were told just before the final that she had a C average). She completely ignores my request for someone else to grade the essay final.
This woman is a WITCH. She basically blames my husband and me because our daughter failed, and is rude in all her emails to us. I'm sick of dealing with her, but I dont even know the process for getting around her as the head of the school board doesnt list contact info. Also the second I do, this witch is going to come out with this same story she keeps saying...which is we were TOLD our daughter was failing and did nothing about it. She pops off a bunch of dates that we were informed of things, but "forgets" that we were told that our daughter had brought her grade up. Unfortunately, i do not have the email anymore.
Anyone ever had this problem?
ps: we have our daughter signed up for summer school for this class.
