One of my children is allergic to cow's milk. After breasfeeding we started using rice milk. (I am personally not big on soy, so we use only a limited amount. Everyone has different opinions on soy.) My son uses rice milk on his cereal and sometimes for drinking right from a cup. I use it in all of my baking. Your child can get many of his nutrients by eating a lot of fruits and vegetables. One thing to be sure of is making sure he gets enough calcium. You can get calcium supplements at your local health food store such as Whole Foods. As your child gets older he/she can eat the calcium gummie bears by Lil' Critters (they are dairy-free). Just make sure you keep on track with the amount of calcium your child should be getting at their age. Just be sure they brush their teeth after eating the gummies!
