Hi Trina, I agree with ellie that your 1 yr old isn't going to need any sort of milk replacement to be healthy and can get all of his dietary needs met from fruits, vegetables, grains etc. For youngsters it's often advisable to add more high fat plants foods that we might limit for ourselves as adults for weight reasons, such as avocadoes, and nuts/nut butters/tahini. When my children all weaned at around 12 months of age they went onto full fat soy milk and are all healthy primary schoolers now. You could also try rice milk or oat milk, all available in grocery stores in the longlife uht sections, to use for cereal, milk drinks, and cooking with milks(custard, cakes etc). Just find the one he likes best and is affordable for you. Best wishes, Nat.
