I expect M will enjoy school.
I think it is different in Europe to here is UK. My son George is similar age to Michael (born April 2002). He has had 2 full years at school.
There is a lot of pressure in this country for children to read & right really early - which I and many others do not agree with. Even so, there is lots of creative and playing time which George has enjoyed.
