Hi. From what I have read, the only vitamin issue in vegetarianism is B12(and that is a contested issue.) If your daughter is not completely vegan, she will get the B12 she needs from one serving of cow's milk or dairy. We eat a LOT of protein here in the US....much more than we need. There are 8 different parts of protein(amino acids) we need. We can get all of those from plant based products. Two that have all 8(and are called "complete") are quinoa and soybeans. You can also get all 8 by combining beans and a grain like rice in one meal. I just looked all of this up myself and was greatly surprised. Peanut butter and the bread in the sandwich makes a complete protein too!
