We care because human consciousness exists. True, it is the only frame in which evil can exist,
but because there is human concsiousness, there is evil. No one person has clear, distinct perception, but as humans evolve, as does thought. When one
person develops an idea, from that another idea is born. If no one cared, the evolution would
follow the path of evil because evil is inherantly selfish. Knowing the difference between good
and evil is important because when people are unselfish in their actions, thought evolves
towards the good. Theoretically, as long as there is human consciousness, there is chance that
there may be a world without evil.
