In the U.S. it's no scrutiny, no controls, no checks and balances, machines owned by a monopoly funded by and for the radical right wing, a system that discriminates and tramples the rights of minorities, and a complex and complicated process that varies from state to state, and even municipality to municipality. I have always voted, and the motto here is, "If you don't vote, you don't have a right to complain." Well, I've earned my right to complain, but I have grave doubts that my vote counts for darned thing. The last two elections here were bought and rigged without a doubt, and with more and more of our basic constitutional rights being stripped away, it's becoming apparent that there is very little if anything that the citizenry can do about it, especially not through our voting process. Other countries look at us and think the American people support what this nation's regime is doing, but the truth is that the majority of us don't -- it's just that our voices and ability to protest and create change have been silenced and thwarted.
