Actually, I do not think that is the best subject line for what I
really mean. All, this is a post that I am moving from the
BioSpirituality board. Ron had mentioned his family%~~s pacifism in
passing and I was curious. I pasted my post to him here and would
appreciate anyone/everyone%~~s input.
I liked your post on the modesty thread. I wouldd like to discuss the
pacifism and patriotism=war aspect of it. But I am pretty certain that
*this* is not the right place for that!! I do not want to argue it, but
I am curious as to what you think would put an end to the troubles.
My husband is a soldier, so I hate war! (So many people think that
soldiers and their families are such gung ho war lovers. We actually
hate it more than the average joe since it is ourselves and our loved
ones who are so personally affected.) We are patriots to the core and
have been since long before 9/11/01.
Oops...I started to get into it. My interest is sincere and I wanted to
convey that. Maybe you could move my post to the appropriate place for
this discussion. I would guess between just you and me, it would be
nice and civil...certainly by me because this is not an issue I am
passionate about (ie, not looking to convince anyone). But if a bunch
of others also want to pitch in, it could get a bit heated, so a
different board might be better. I am thinking that the flame board
would be my last choice, as I think that sort of invites contention.
But whatever you think...just let me know where it is going to be so I
can find it!!
