Thank you for the detailed reply!

In regards to finding reliable information, I just watched Michael Greger's DVD for 2008 on highlights in nutrition research. Lots of good information, amusingly presented ... but I wonder where he got his 4000 IU for Vit. D2 recommendation!

I wondered whether that one study on olive oil's effects in the bloodstream was the only evidence he had. Seems like there must be more! How else could you motivate people to avoid all oils, nuts and avos for years!?! (Re: olive oil study. If you go to a restaurant and order linguine, I bet you get 3T olive oil, and it's probably rancid.)

I appreciate hearing from you that you differ from several others in the veg*n nutrition field. I'd like to hear more about your philosophy, perhaps elsewhere. I'm just not knowledgeable enough to have my own philosophy but I like to be able to refer my clients to a reputable source.

I will follow up on cf. CNS with RD in another post.

Thank you, Sammy
