The Institute of Integrative Nutrition definitely doesn't provide any type of licensure to practice. I have met some ppl that have a cert. from there and were happy with the program. However, I've also met a good deal of ppl who were very unhappy with the program. "It's extremely expensive for 10 wkends of self promotion." Ppl have said that the guest speakers spend the whole wkend promoting their books instead of actually teaching the foundation nutrition knowledge one would need to be competent in their own practice. I was told that unless you are trying to expand an already established practice, the institute is a waste of time and money. They said the program was great for meeting ppl with the same interests but that you REALLY have to put the effort out there to meet ppl. I mean thousands of ppl coming together for a wkend seminar once a month just doesn't compare to a class of 20. Hope this gives some insight into the program.
