As mentioned by Almost Vegan, after completion of IIN's program you can call yourself a "holistic health counselor" (or something similar), but you will not be entitled to any type of recognized license or certification. For the moment, it appears some IIN graduates can earn a living, even though some may be in violation of licensing laws, since enforcement is poor. However, I predict that as nutrition becomes more recognized as key to disease prevention and management, states will start to crack down on unlicensed practitioners. Since there is little or no chance IIN will adapt to meet education requirements, IIN grads will be out in the cold. In my opnion, it's worth neither the time nor the money. If you want to earn a living in nutrition, do it right and go to a school accredited by the ADA or its competition, the CBNS. Google either one, and you should be able to find their respective websites. Mark Rifkin
