Hi there. I hope you might be able to help me out. I'm seriously considering going vegetarian due to costs and the horrible stuff the big industries do to our food and animal friends. I was told once by a nutritionist student that people need to eat meat because of the type of protein it has that vegies don't. I also remember something I saw on PBS about the human brain getting larger once humans starting eating meat, then there is our canines. This information causes me to hesitate in making the leap into vegetarianism. I also have hypothyroidism and need to stay away from soy as a main source of protein and I need to be on a low glycemic diet. So could you put my mind at ease about the protein issues and let me know if being vegetarian is even feasible for me.
