Hi Mark, thanks for such an inspirational board.
I currently work full-time (and financially there is no way I can not work full time), and I have been thinking about a career change for a long time. I recently came to the same conclusion that a R.D. degree would carry the most leverage (rather than an online nutritional consultant diploma) and legitimate career options.
I have been researching the schools in my area - Philadelphia that offer nutrition programs (very few for a major city) and the first one I checked out lacked evening or weekend classes (since finding this board today, I have checked out the link eatright.org and am investigating 2 other possible programs within my commuting range ).
Just curious how you were able to take classes during the day when you worked FT? Did you have a supportive boss or a flexible work schedule? I think it could be difficult to take a class during the day, if my boss knew it was for a career change (i.e. he'd then know I am not that happy in my current career).
Thank you in advance.
