How long does it take to get a degree as a Registered Dietician? What type of degree is it?

What would be the next step below that?

Are there any online colleges that you know of that offer it or an equivalant?

I work full-time and have a family. I can't seem to find the time to go out to take classes at a specific time each week. I do much better on self-study.
