Hi Helena Thanks for your comments and glad you enjoyed the video. First, the bad news... Most Cliff bars do not pass my guidelines. The one you posted is just full of refined processed sugars and fails on that aspect alone. . Lets look at the ingredients. >>>Ingredients: Organic Brown Rice Syrup, Organic Rolled Oats, ClifPro™ (Soy Rice Crisps [Soy Protein Isolate, Rice Flour, Malt Extract], Organic Roasted Soybeans, Organic Soy Flour), Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Chocolate Chips (Evaporated Cane Juice, Unsweetened Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Soy Lecithin, Natural Flavors), Organic Fig Paste, Organic Soy Butter, Cocoa, ClifCrunch™ (Apple Fiber, Oat Fiber, Organic Milled Flaxseed, Inulin [Chicory Extract], Psyllium), Dutched Cocoa, Natural Flavors, Sea Salt. The first ingedient is Organic Brown Rice Syrup which may sound great but is a pure refined sugar and the third ingredient is evaporated cane juice. In addition the ClifPro is made with Malt extract, which is also a refined sweetener. In addition, It has cocoa butter, which is a saturated fat. Now, the good news... Clif bars has aline of bars called Nectar bars that, while very calorie dense, are made with nothing but dried fruits and nuts and some flavorings. Out of all the clif bars, these are the best. The Cherry Pomengranate, Cinnamon Pecan, Cranberry Apricot and Almond, and the Dark Chocolate Walnut would be the better choices of the Nectar Bars. However, I think it is important for kids to learn about real "real" foods and energy bars are not real food. My daughter is 25 now, and I filled her lunch box with lots of healthy real foods, like fresh fruit, dried fruits, a few unsalted nuts/seeds, etc. These are much healthier for kids. In Health Jeff N
