Hi Clifford There is no way I can tell exactly what your friend is eating or how adequate it is from your description but it does sound a little sparse. However, a well planed vegan diet, which contains no animal products, can easily meet the nutritional requirements of the body. The only exception is for Vitamin B12. There are programs out there, for free, like the CRON-O-Meter, which you can search google for and download, that allow you to enter your food for the day and see how well it does.
