If you have a concern, I would recommend getting your vit D levels checked. Then you would know. Vit D may be one of the the only exceptions to my above comments (and B12 for vegans) but again it would depend on your personal situation and if you meet the criteria. Again, I dont think everyone/anyone should randomly take any supplement without meeting the criteria I defined. Vit B12 for vegans meets the criteria and for some, depending on their personal situation, so may Vit D. If the population (in general) would put even just 10% of their energy and enthusiasm into eating right as that they do into taking and believing in supplements, they would have almost no need for supplements and they would eliminate most lifestyle related health problems.
