Since reading your posts about Clif bars and other food replacers, I've been trying to work out a way for my 3 teens and myself to avoid these things while sticking to whole foods. It's been a challenge. Lunch is not too bad, I just make and freeze bean wraps for the week and send them with raw veggies. We tried the "eating dinner together" idea, but since we are not all home until well after 9 PM, waiting that long to eat is not working well for us. We're so famished by then that we're really too tired to eat. We've done bean and hummus wraps for lunch, and then more of them in the car for dinner. We haven't really come up with a solution to the breakfast quandary - generally the kids just grab bread and peanut butter before we hop in the car. At this point, I am thinking raw food - which eliminates having to cook, and is by definition finger food - may just be the solution for us, at least part of the time. Is there a way to eat a raw-food diet which is healthy, and adequate for teenage girls? Can you point me to a good source of information for this?
