Gary,

I am not asking you to change your criteria nor am I challenging you on them. I am only asking you to present your criteria and the reasoning behind them.

And, I am only asking you to consider that in addition to your criteria, it is also important to make sure that our dietary intake is nutritionally adequate. Not instead of, but in addition to any other criteria we or you or I choose.

>>assuming that the numbers were valid) i have checked the nutrient level of my diet and found it lacking in a couple minerals. until i investigated the WHO figures and how they more intelligently came to their numbers.

I am glad you checked. Good luck, and let me know if you need any help.

>>and using software doesn't necessarily mean anything as the food we actually eat may be far different nutritionally from the usda averages, either higher or lower.

Regardless of whether the info is perfect or not,is not the point. The point is, it is the best we have so we can use it to help us make better choices within our own chosen criteria.

>>i am not accepting assignments from you at this time.

:)

My only wish for you is optimal health.

>>btw, one can get excess nutrients and suffer disease.

Again, I agree. So, we now have another criteria to add to our list. Not only should it be nutrient adequate, we also have to avoid certain nutrient excesses.

Best of health
Jeff
