I was to re-do the food guide pyramid, I would put vegetables at the bottom and recommend at least 10-20 servings a day.

That would be the equivalent of 250-500 calories a day or about 2-4 lbs of veggies.

For some fun, input those amounts of vegetables into the CRON-O-Meter and see what you get.
