I convinced a vegetarian friend to go vegan. She experienced a huge drop in her cholesterol levels and had some other positive changes.

However, she has experienced some negative changes too. The skin on her face was previously clear and soft. Her face has since had breakouts of acne and has become dry.

I have heard anecdotal accounts of people becoming more sensitive to junk, once they have given up junk.

Is there any medical information about this phenomenon?

Will my friends condition clear up?

Beyond making sure to get more EFAs and more fresh vegetables is there anything else she can do to restore her skin?
