I use Almond Breeze because it tastes so good. Actually, I probably only use 8 oz or so every day or other day, not much at all, I rarely just drink it. What I usually use them for is to substitute for cow's milk in things like sauces and the occasional dessert, or for cereal or shakes in the morning.
I don't at all use a food for a particular nutrient but I do try to choose foods that have good nutrients in them, which is why I mentioned the B-12 and calcium. Being vegan I am aware of the B-12 issue, I also try to eat calcium-rich foods. I am aware that these products have B-12 and calcium added to them rather than being naturally occurring.
As we go along our diets evolve, and we try to gravitate toward the least processed diet while at the same time enjoying cooking and all the variety that a vegan diet can offer. Just don't want to do anything that is truly destructive!
Thanks for your quick response.
