You are right. If we are talking about a minor percentage of the calories of your diet, than we are splitting hairs and its not a big deal either way. Lets not lose site of the big picture

In regard to absorption, the absorption of calcium from most dark green leafy veggies (except spinach) and vegetables is excellent and exceeds that of the rate from dairy.

Absorption from Kale was 41% while milk was only 32%

Milk 32%
Broccoli 53%
Kale 59%
Chinese Cabbage 54%

Brussels Sprouts 64%
Mustard Greens 58%
Turnip Greens 52%
Watercress 67%
Rutabaga 61%
Kohlrabi 67%
Cauliflower 68%

Also, there are many other factors that influence absorption rates including total calcium intake, dietary fiber, alcohol consumption, physical activity, Vit D intake, Dietary Fat intake, etc
