Jeff said~ "To answer your question, a well planned unprocessed unrefined whole food diet can meet ones calcium needs. Enter the foods in a program like CRON-O-Meter and see." You know, I did exactly that yesterday with my 9yo son's diet. Every few months I panic and need to see for myself. We follow Dr. Fuhrman's guidelines. My son topped out all the micronutrients(his calcium was 84% of the RDA,but as he is a healthy vegan, and gets lots of exercise and sunshine I am not worried about this) while keeping his protein in a nice safe range(around 15% and all from plants). It was beautiful to behold I have to say. Many of the micronutrients were in the 400%RDA or higher. He is slightly orange as well! :-) Go greens! Jen
