Yeah, definitely focus on tryptophan and also foods with omega 3's in them, that will help to boost your mood. Try eating more nuts and seeds, like hemp seeds, flax and almonds. That will also help some with the calorie issue. I've heard people who say they benefit from spirulina.

Alcohol makes me feel worse than just about anything else, it also has a big impact on your sleep cycle. For feeling frazzled or anxious you might benefit from looking into some type of yoga or meditation practice.

We all go through periods of being moody and feeling weird, angry, or sassy, that is not something isolated only to vegans or vegetarians! Anyone who thinks so is clearly deluding themselves. lol. Good luck!
