Thank you for your comments. That is interesting I had not thought of Tryptophan. I do eat quite a lot of beans and some tofu, but no others on the list, so it is quite difficult to say how much I am getting.
As a little time has passed since my post I am thinking that it is due generaly to a low intake in calories, coupled with a general short fuse that I've had my whole life. I really haven't been paying attention to calories, and have just gone by rough estimates by volume. But I actually counted up the amount of calories I consumed in a day, and realized that it was much lower than I would have guessed. I had added up a days worth of food that I had thought was quite generous, but realized it may have only been on the order of ~1200 calories. Even when I was in weight loss mode in the past I would never dip below 1800.
I do believe alcohol also plays a factor, but it is actually very minor compared to what a lack of calories will do to me personally. In times past if I am fully satiated and consuming alcohol, it has more of anxiety effect on me, where I just have a general sense that something bad may happen, but with no real sense of anger. However; if I am running very low on calories and to a lesser extent sleep I tend to feel very agitated. Sorry I don't want you to think I'm dangerous to myself or others in any way, I just am very quick to see others as being hostile to me, and become hostile in argument with others. I'd like to say I have "sass mouth," but it's like i'm standing out of my own body watching it happening and am just like this isn't you, why do you get so angry.
So in the meantime I am trying to intake more calories, it's quite a change from before, in the past I had even told co-workers i was on a calorie/$ budget, lol. Frozen pizzas would most often fit the bill, so it is quite suprising at the volume of vegetables you would have to eat to get the same amount of calories.
P.S. I am not overweight, my comments probably make it sound like I could be, and am struggling with trying to lose weight, but I have generally been on the mid to low end of my recommended BMI.
P.P.S. see that last comment, that's kind of what I mean, why would I make that comment, I won't edit it out, just to give a small sense of what i mean. I tend to anticitape negativity from others even though it has doesn't actually exist.
