There are concerns with BPA in certain plastics and there are concerns about plastics coming in contact with food, especially under higher temperatures, so personally, I avoid it. Stainless steel and glass seem to be the least reactive substances to use. I have a large heavy duty stainless steel pasta pot that I can cook just about anything I need in including perfect rice and steamed vegetables, even at the same time. :) One pot. Simple. Easy. :) In Health Jeff
