A couple of weeks ago, I picked and later processed about five kilograms of purple figs. By the following morning, my fingers had blistered slightly, with subsequent peeling of the area occurring over the next few days. Two further trips to a green fig have produced no blisters, but the joints on three fingers are swollen and painful, as is my ankle, which came in contact with low leaves and branches. More info by searching 'allergic reaction - figs'on Google.
