Jeff, I was wondering... I've studied a scientific career myself, nevertheless I question the validity of this 30 minutes per day tops of exercise for best chances of longevity and long-term health (am I right saying that?)... well what about how much time should we think and use our energies to intellectual work? What about other kind of human work? How many hours should we emote? Besides this rational critique I would like to ask you. If I am an ultra-endurance athlete, what can I expect in terms of life expectancy, how many years my life expectancy would reduce? I mean, I'm planning right now making adaptation to our bikes to use human energy and convert it to electric energy. Also I've seen plans of how to do it in stationary bikes and store the energy. Analyzing if this a viable and healthy and clean energy source for our electronic devices, I would like to know I can invest my efforts on my legs and not lose many years of my life in this endeavor, I mean if I only lose a year or two by pedaling for a lifetime and have some 300 Watts-hour of power a day, I can do that sacrifice... sadly I need the numbers to compare. Thanks Jeff!
