Subject:         100g Protein for broken bones

I recently fractured a bone and have been researching nutrition and
supplements (though I prefer not to use supplements) to hasten the healing
process. I have found lots of info on Vitamin and minerals. During the process
of the research I have found some people advocating increasing protein intake.
One of which stated it should be 100g a day while recovering. This seem
extreme to me.

Should I increase my protein intake?
Would 100g be unhealthy?

(I am female however I am a somewhat muscular female with a physical job -
though not during recovery.)
