As you have several personal health concerns, you may want to seek out a professional to work with on a one-to-one basis, as a public anonymous message board is not the proper setting to solve personal health issues. In general, I never recommend anyone counting their calories as a method of losing weight. Learning and understanding the principles of calorie density (explained below in this forum and at my forum on the McDougall site) is a much better method. As long as someone is consuming enough calories, eating whole natural foods and not restricting their diet to mostly (or only) fruit, they will get in enough protein. In Health Jeff
