>>Polenta

It is a processed food that may or may not be refined. You can make and/or buy polenta that is from whole grain corn. However, any polenta will be more calorie dense than the original corn it came from.

>>Manna bread - yeast-free sprouted grain. i know it's calorie dense but i'm very skinny and coming off a fast. Just wondering what you think.

All bread is fairly well processed and calorie dense.

>>>Cashews/cashew butter - i know that all nuts are to be limited, but i've read about some people saying cashews are toxic?

Cashews, like any nuts/seed should be limited because of its calorie density.

All foods, including fresh fruits and vegetables have some amount of toxins in them. They occur naturally in the plant. :)
